In a survey conducted August 13 of 350 likely voters, Panhandle Politico found the District 1 County Commissioner race too close to call.
Jesse Casey and Jeff Bergosh were both at 28.82 percent of the vote, with Karen Sindel coming in at 12.34 percent. The rest of the voters in the race still claimed to be undecided with just 2 weeks to go before the election (August 30).
This poll was conducted following a great deal of spending from both Casey and Bergosh’s campaigns, including an additional $21,000 spent by Experience Common Sense Leadership, a Political Action Committee (PAC), that appears to support Bergosh.
Panhandle Politico partnered with Palafox Productions using an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system calling registered voters with a voting score of 60% of higher for primary elections. After calling, Panhandle Politico ended up with 350 completed surveys with a margin of error of +/- 4.5%.
