West Florida voter turnout beats state average

The 2016 Primary Election is over, and West Florida turned out in higher numbers than the rest of the state.

This year’s Primary saw just under 30% voter participation locally.  The statewide turnout was 23.85%.

A total of 54,742 of 201,999 registered voters participated in Escambia – a 27% turnout.

Santa Rosa had a 25.22% turnout; while 29.03% voted in Okaloosa, per their respective Supervisors of Elections.
